SEASPRAY NORTH AMERICANS Travelling to the US and to a different venue than before allowed us to seek a route less travelled. For us in Alberta the route through EastPort/Kingsgate and South to Coeur d’ Alene is the best route. From there the choice is to drive the interstate all the way to Eugene , Oregon or hit the back roads. We chose the back roads to see some different scenery. The EYC is a model for an ideal sailing club catering to it’s member’s needs as well as attending guests needs. We were impressed with the host club and the welcoming hospitality. It was nice to visit with friends and the evenings were casual and relaxed around the Seaspray camping area. The setup area for our boats was large and launching/retrieval was fairly easy. Our trip down and back was incident free, with border crossings easy and fast. Fern Ridge Lake is a challenging lake to sail. Our c...
