  If you sail with a group bring a camera along for some great on the water     shots. Some Correspondence… "My parents bought our seaspray at the Toronto Boat show in 1976 when I was a teenager, and it has been at our Rideau Lakes cottage ever since.  I've just sold it to a young lad in the area who wants to get better at sailing - it's his first boat and he was pretty excited when he test sailed it from our dock. It is seaworthy now, but  between him, his Dad and his grandfather, I understand they'll be starting to fix it up over the winter. I hope the boat ignites a lifetime of interest in sailing for him, and I'm sure he'll be pouring over the archives for rebuild tips.   Thanks for the newsletters over the years - it's been nice to know there is still an active class around because I've never seen one in Ontario.   REGATTA SCHEDULE BeachCat Regatta- Sept 11, 12, 13th Lake Newell.      Can adian Seaspray Nationals and North Americans.   Open to all catamara classes.   Planning to start soon on hosting this event.  Course design and volunteer confirmations to start.  Our goal is to attract new sailors to join in.  Likely mostly Seasprays will attend. Prairie Wind Regatta  had seventy boats registered with five Seasprays sailing. Richard Braul came away with first place in an eight race event.  Mike Sonnie second and Hamish Ferguson third.  Well done everyone who sailed in this event.   The famous Turkey award suffered a complete meltdown, literally.     Due to an unfortunate water event and the reconstructive /restorative aftermath the bird couldn’t handle the heat.     Have no fear, there is a replacement being worked on.
