Nationals @ Prairie Wind Regatta July 7,8,9  Our 3 day Canadian Nationals Regatta will be hosted by Newell Sailing Club.    Online registration CLICK HERE.   Please register as soon as possible in order as it will help with planning, meals, etc.  Also read the NOR if you plan to attend. Catamaran Clinic at Newell Sailing Club July 28, 29, 30th   Keep checking their website for registration info.  Fall Regatta Idea Possible late summer event, Sept 8, 9th 10th  Since OSC cancelled their Sept regatta for this year some ideas have been floating around.  Here's another one....  perhaps we agree to go to a lake such as Little Bow Provincial Park for an example.  Instead of a regatta just come and sail that lake.  Just a thought.  Booking a campsite might not be a problem at that time of year. NEW SAILS Leitch and McBride produced a halyard set of laminate sails over the winter/spring for me and they look pretty good.  ...

2023 REGATTAS  In light of the big hole the loss of the Osoyoos September regatta has left, it's time for the competitive members to think about how to fill this void.  Pass your thoughts along for consideration.  Keep the second full weekend of September open for an event somewhere.   COSA Springtime Regatta at Central Okanagan Sailing Association  May 20, 21  On line registration CYC Icebreaker Regatta at Calgary Yacht Club June 2-4th   On line registration.  This is a close one for a lot of us. NO OSOYOOS REGATTA PLANNED FOR THIS YEAR Keith Hesje has emailed to say it appears there will NOT be a regatta at Lake Osoyoos Sailing Club this year. While the club is still active, there does not seem to be enough manpower/interest within the membership to host an event this season. Sorry ladies, no wine tasting tour while the guys race this year.

UPCOMING REGATTAS FOR 2023 COSA (Kelowna, BC)  Springtime Regatta May 20, 21 2023  Over the years Seasprays have attended this event and I believe at least one of you are making plans to attend this year so if there are others in the area consider attending as well.  NOR is posted on their website. Newell Sailing Club (accommodation Island Provincial Park, Alberta)  July 7, 8 and 9th 2023  Seaspray Canadian Nationals.  Plan your accommodation through Alberta Parks booking system in a few days. Osoyoos Sailing Club (Osoyoos, BC) Tentatively Sept 8. 9 & 10th 2023.  No confirmed info on their website yet.  Make plans soon if you are interested in attending. There are also lots of other regional regattas in your area if you do a little searching.  Is sailing as well as all wind-drive sports on the verge of a boom?
